Welcome to the Londoner
ESTABLISHED IN 1997, A 40 YEAR OLD VETERAN OF THAILAND (ORIGINALLY FROM LONDON) DECIDED THAT BANGKOK LACKED A DECENT PUB TO HAVE A BEER AND WATCH RUGBY… AND SO HE ESTABLISHED THE LONDONER BREW PUB, NOW BANGKOK’S OLDEST MICRO-BREWERY.
We pride ourselves in offering casual but high quality food and superb house brewed beer with great service in a pleasant atmosphere. We hope that you enjoy your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
With an exceptional cooking team led by Londoner Chef Yao, Captain of the Thai National Cooking Association, The Londoner offers only the finest of ingredients in our food. Lamb shanks are flown from New Zealand weekly, steaks are imported from Australia and Argentina and our cod hails from the Atlantic, to name a few of our pub faves.
From battering our fish and chips in our locally brewed beer to the six hour preparation required for our signature Lamb Shanks, all of our dishes are specially tailored by Chef Yao to offer a unique taste found only at The Londoner.
Voted American Express Pub/Restaurant of the Year and winner of numerous other awards, The Londoner Brew Pub is Bangkok’s favourite pub for expatriates, locals and tourists alike. Famed for brewing Thailand’s only pub-brewed English Bitter and Pilsner Lager, a complete range of beverages, wines, cocktails and superb pub food are also available at value-for-money prices.
Our house brewed beers are brewed with passion and delicacy. Trained in the science and art of brewing beer in Munich, The Londoner’s Peter, The BrewMaster, ensures strict adherence to an age old (1516, to be exact) beer making philosophy of Bavarian “Reinheitsgebot,” the Law of Purity, which is the oldest existing food law in the world. It prohibits any ingredients other than water, barley malt, hops and yeast in the beer making process.
WE TAKE OUR BEER MAKING VERY SERIOUSLY.
Not only do we use the finest of ingredients but we also brew our beers in a very traditional and time intensive manner. This produces a very natural taste and flavor. As we serve the beer directly from the tanks, there is no need to treat, stabilize or use any chemicals in our process. We don’t even filter the beer to offer a fresh and delightful taste that cannot be achieved by a bottled or canned beer.
All our ingredients (Barly malt, Bitter and aroma hops) are imported from Germany to ensure the highest quality. Our Malt comes from medium-sized specialist mastery in the Bishop Town of Bamberg, Germany, and our hops come from the famous hop region of the Hallertau, just North of Munich.
